Kanagawa Prefectural Hakone Seimei-no-hoshi/chikyu Museum

This museum explains the history of the Earth, the development of life and evolution. You can find meteorites and dinosaur fossils here, and deepen your understanding of the Earth and life.
Access: 3 mins walk from Iriuda station on the Hakone Tozan line.

Hakone Mori-no-fureai Kan

Interact with animals and plants, and catch the diorama of the Asian black bear, musical about the importance of forests, as well as the harmony between nature and animals.
Access: From Odawara, take the train bound for Hakone-machi and travel to the final stop Hakone-machi (60 mins, 6 trains/h), and change over to the train bound for Atami/Mishima and alight at Hakone Yasuragi-no-mori (2 trains/h).

Hakone Botanical Gardens of Wetlands

Home to over 200 species of wetlands plants, 1100 species of grassland plants, groves, alpine plants and mountain grass, and 1700 species of plants in total, it shows you a different sight every season you visit.
Access: Take the Hakone Tozan Bus (T Route) from Hakone-yumoto station and alight at Sengoku-annaijo-mae (23 mins). It is a 8 mins walk away. Otherwise, take the Sightseeing Facilities Bus (S Route) from Gora station on the Hakone Tozan Railway line and alight at Shissei Hana-en-mae.
